Not every bride has a clear idea which type or color she wants. But be careful. Even when you've chosen a type, it doesn't mean that it will suits to your body type.
You also don't have to stick to white colour only, but you can use any tone of creamy. Or just simply choose a colour which you like and for example combain with white.
Grooms
Groom's suit has to be in harmony with bride's dress. Maybe at the first sight i't not evident, but gentlemen have also many option.

Classic black suit - matches mostly with white dress in combination with white shirt or creamy dress and creamy shirt. You can make it more interesting with vest in a different color tone. With vest you should also have a classic tie or english (french) tie in same colour like vest and a hanky in chect pocket. You can also uce bow tie, but it's not very common. (Czech tradition - when a groom has a bow tie, he will fly away. In Czech it is called "motýlek" which also means butterfly)

Tailcoat or morning dress (black or grey) - This is very fancy option but not that common. To tailcoat belong also cylinder and stick. You wear shirts with cufflinks

Light dinner jacket of suit (creamy) - doesn't suit to white dress. Here you also need creamy shoes, not dark ones! Don't forget that every suit should have a belt.

So, which type of dresses we should choose? It depend if you are pregnant, skinny, tall, short or you have overweight. But not only should infuence you choice. Depends on your partner's height. It would look funny if you had a puffy dress and groom looks like an ant next to you.

pregnant - if you are in an advanced state of pregnancy, it is better to choose a simpler dress belted under the bust

overweight - here is advisable to choose a dress with a wide skirt and corset, which enhances the build

tall - if you want to look smaller, it's good to choose dress which are devided; you can also make use of your height and wear also simplier dress

short, skinny - you can choose a bigger skirt and it doesn't have to be simple. You also can look optically taller when you'll have a tiara or veil.
Except dress, you will need wedding accessories. It means veil, earrings, necklace, tiara, hair decorations... Don't also forget on shoes (it should be the first thing, because wedding dress are needed to try with shoes - certain height of heels), coat, gloves and white underwear (and maybe something for a wedding night. I will also mention that it is good to have extra dress for the time after ceremony. Wedding dresses are nice but not suitable for outside partying.
