Cakes
Normally you order two or more-tier cake and if you have a lot of guests, it's common to order more cakes. It's good to order them ahead of time because renowned confectioners might be busy during the main season. Also if you have a chance, order cake for another occasion to make sure they are good.
Tier cake should be placed in honor place at the head on wedding table. Then during the reception newly-weds will cut a cake and offer it to guests. They should take it, rejecting is very impolite. Check, whose hand is on the top - this person will be dominant in relationship.
Wedding cake has a three two as a minimum, but more common are three- or more-tier cakes. As everything on your wedding, cake also has to match to the theme of your wedding. If you've chosen a sea or beach theme, it's nice to have a wedding cake with a sea decorations (seashells, starfish, etc) and dominant color of whole wedding is light blue. Do not choose a white and pink cake when everything else is yellow or green.
The novelty of recent years are wedding case in the form of small cakes with one bigger on the top for a bride and a groom which is cut by them. You can also make cakes for newly-weds's parents like a gift.
